UCAIug IEC 61850 IOP
In keeping with the mission to address user issues with IEC 61850, the UCA International User Group sponsors an Interoperability (IOP) Testing activity every two years to facilitate testing between implementations from different vendors. In contrast to conformance testing, which UCAIug is responsible for maintaining, IOP testing is designed to find any areas of the standards that may be subject to misunderstanding that might prevent conformant devices from exchanging information.
Due to COVID, the 2021 IOP was split into a virtual and a physical component.
This year, the face-to-face meeting takes place 18-22 July in Milan, Italy.
SISCO has supported and participated in every IOP, and again brings industry-leading products to assist in the testing efforts. This year, SISCO has focused on using our GOOSE Monitor and GOOSE Blaster tools to exercise and debug the GOOSE applications in the system.
